🏈 Concussed ‘Cock
South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers was knocked out of last Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt with a concussion. He is by far the biggest name on my injury list and we’ve been monitoring the SC-Mizzou line all week long.
When initial reports weren’t optimistic on Sellers, Mizzou got as high as -14 at one Las Vegas sportsbook. However, positive rumblings shifted the market Tuesday afternoon and respected money showed on South Carolina at +14 down to +11.5.
A second push followed to +10.
By Thursday, another report signaled that Sellers is “trending towards playing” with the always hilarious “barring a setback” caveat. Lol. Play both sides much?
More South Carolina support drove the line down to Mizzou -8.5, where hungry hyenas waiting for cheap favorite prices were happy to blast back to -9.5 and -10.
Around and around we go…
🎙 Vegas Voices
“I have no fucking idea if [Sellers] plays,” one bookmaker told me.
“Market says he’s in. Market also believed Lane Kiffin last week. The guy took [quarterback Austin Simmons] off the injury report and played games ‘til kickoff. The kid was out there warming up in full pads, then he didn’t even go.
“[Kyle] Whittingham did it all last year at Utah with Cam Rising. He’s in, he’s out, he’s a gametime decision. It’s exhausting.
“We don’t have a clue how healthy Sellers is.”
Meanwhile, Missouri has no such drama. Beau Pribula — Drew Allar’s former backup at Penn State — has been better than advertised. The Tigers lit up Kansas for nearly 600 yards two weeks ago and some believe Pribula could eclipse Allar one day.
“Maybe,” Westgate SuperBook vice president of risk Ed Salmons told me. “Allar is a first-rounder and James Franklin made the only decision he could. If he chose [Pribula] and it backfired, he wouldn’t survive that.”

🔭 FCS Watch
#VegasRick is eyeing a Friday night FCS “Over.” The Columbia-Lafayette overnight total is sitting at O/U 50.5. Let’s see where this baby closes tomorrow.
🍺 Fade the Bartender
The Bartender dropped two of three last weekend and he’s fired up for a Week 3 favorite that “can’t lose.” Oh boy. Get all his plays Saturday on X.
🥵 Survive and Advance
The 108 Boys wanted to go “Double Seattle,” but I think they’re gonna split it up on Seattle and Dallas. Chicago’s D can’t get to the quarterback when healthy and go peep that Thursday injury report. Not good, folks.
👥 Around the Table
Shoutout to Salt Life. He may have uncovered a gem with the Saint Francis Red Flash. They’ve been outscored 105-13 (!) in three games and are 0-3 ATS. He’s looking to fade ‘em again this Saturday against Delaware State and we wish him the best.
